There Are No Dysfunctional Physicians

They are told they are a horrible person. They get low satisfaction scores. They are told they are in the wrong profession. These are predictable responses from someone who doesn't understand the personality science behind this. To make matters worse, it is often handled with poor emotional intelligence.

How to Build Trust in Your Organization

People who can’t trust their employer won’t stick around. People who can’t leave will no longer be effective, productive employees. This creates at the least unhappiness, and at the worst an unsafe workplace or a toxic work environment or both. So, I ask you, is this the structure you want to be building in your organization? Your EHR Isn’t Responsible for Your Burnout

It simply manages information. Research shows if you want to change your workload, you must have conversations around that workload. You must communicate and set boundaries. You must know what you want, how to say it, and you have to say it in such a way that values everyone at the table.
